I love this time of year as we enter into festivity season, from Diwali, Hanukka to Christmas. Its a time of year, which may darken outside but its lit up with vibrant colours and light and our homes burst with colour and warmth. Although Christmas may be celebrated by Christians for religous reasons, for many non-christians in the UK it is still a time to enjoy family time together and embrace the colour and decor that this season has to offer.

Initially it was only launched as a mini, as I didn't think it would be as popular, how wrong was I. Whether its consumer or trade shows I attend, this scent continues to blow people away.

The scent has been inspired by the rose petal bracelets which are presented to guests as they arrive with the bridegroom to the wedding hall on the wedding day.

The scent is a blend of Tuberose & Orange Leaves and is available as a scent for the home or for personal use.

Chambelli Ka Phool, translated as Jasmine flower, is the national flower of Pakistan and can be commonly found in people's gardens. I recall smelling the scent in my garden after my afternoon nap, as I sat with may parents and enjoyed some tea and pakora's on the terrace by the garden. It is also a popular flower used to ordain brides with at various wedding events which takes place in South Asia.

I have also nicknamed this candles as my 'Mum scent' as it transpires that 5 years since launch it continues to be a real hit and very popular with mums, so if anyone is looking for a gift for mum, they can't go wrong with the scent collections.

My Mothers of Islam collection is an Oud base collection. The oils have been carefully selected and sourced from Dubai.

These scents have been inspired by Hazrat Khadija (ra) & Hazrat Aisha (ra) the former was the beloved Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) first wife & the latter was his last wife and with whom he spent a lot of time, which is why many Ahadith (practises and sayings of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) have been sourced from her. Hazrat Fatima (ra) was his daughter.

All 3 were strong, independent & learned women in Islam and played a pivotal role in aiding the prophet to spread the message of Islam, either during his lifetime or once he passed away.

As I look to expand this series it will be focused on countries in the Middle East, Africa and The Sub-Continent to begin with as often it is the countries and people from this region who are most demonised due to lack of cultural understanding.
